Registered Nurse (RN) Mobile & Flexible (Creston)
About The Position
AffiniCare is hiring Registered Nurses to provide licensed nursing staff to Care Initiatives’ 43 skilled nursing communities. Nurses travel to multiple Care Initiatives locations within their region to help cover open shifts and provide care in different settings. Schedules are customizable: nurses can choose facilities and shifts that suit their preferences, with a minimum commitment of 16 hours per month. Full-time and part-time schedules are available. The RN provides compassionate direct care to residents, supports daily unit operations, administers medications and treatments, monitors residents’ conditions, and documents care in accordance with clinical, regulatory, and facility standards. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary team members and communicating with residents and families. Applicants must hold an active Iowa RN license and CPR certification, have 12 months of verifiable RN experience, and be able to travel between regional communities while living within a reasonable driving distance of Care Initiatives communities.
Requirements
- Active Iowa RN license.
- Active CPR certification.
- Twelve months of verifiable experience working as an RN.
- Ability to travel between multiple Care Initiatives communities within the region.
- Must live within a reasonable driving distance of Care Initiatives communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
- Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
- Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
- Collaborate with CNA, LPN, provider, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
- Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
- Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
- Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
