About The Position

AffiniCare is hiring Registered Nurses to provide licensed nursing support at Care Initiatives’ 43 skilled nursing communities. Nurses travel to multiple Care Initiatives locations within their region to help cover open shifts and can choose preferred facilities and shifts to fit their schedules. Full-time and part-time hours are available, with a minimum commitment of 16 hours per month. The role provides direct resident care and supports daily clinical operations, resident safety, and quality care in skilled nursing settings.

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license.
• Active CPR certification.
• Twelve months of verifiable experience working as an RN.
• Ability to travel between multiple Care Initiatives communities within the region.
• Must live within a reasonable driving distance of Care Initiatives communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit and promote quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor residents’ conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Communicate with residents and families about care needs.
• Document care accurately in accordance with clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and compliance protocols.
• Travel to multiple Care Initiatives communities within the assigned region to assist with open shifts.
