About The Position

Juniper Communities is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to support a 17-bed short-term skilled unit within its community. The RN helps manage day-to-day operations and works to promote residents’ safety, functional ability, and overall well-being. The role includes assessing residents, coordinating communication with families and team members, completing required documentation, and supporting supervision and teamwork within the Wellness Department. The position is part-time, working 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. every other weekend.

Requirements

• Current RN license.
• Knowledge of applicable governmental regulations.
• Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of older adults.

Nice To Haves

• Current BLS certification.
• Previous management experience in a healthcare or service-related field.

Responsibilities

• Continuously assess residents for changes in condition, mood, behavior, or level of function, and implement appropriate interventions to support their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
• Help ensure resident safety in the 17-bed facility.
• Act as a liaison between residents, family members, and other team members to maintain effective communication and appropriate care.
• Provide written and oral reports to the leadership team and complete assigned paperwork in accordance with applicable federal, state, local, and company regulatory standards.
• Help establish rapport and maintain teamwork throughout the Wellness Department.
• Assist with ongoing supervision, oversight, and delegation within the Wellness Department, including training, disciplining, counseling, motivating, and evaluating.
