About The Position

This full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position, Wound Care Clinical Lead, is responsible for making daily clinical assignments based on staff availability and practice needs. The role involves assessing the clinical competence of teammates, providing feedback to the manager, and monitoring inventory to ensure proper storage of clinical supplies, equipment, and medications. The nurse will analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses, identify expected outcomes, develop care plans, and implement strategies to promote health and safety.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside or if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as your primary state of residency, meet the licensure requirements in your home state; or for Non-National License Compact states, current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner required in the state where the RN works.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
• Must speak and understand English in good understandable terms.
• Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch.
• Finger dexterity.
• Critical thinking and ability to concentrate.
• Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and / or unit/department conditions.
• Physical Abilities testing required.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Certification in Nursing Specialty Preferred.
• Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required within the department by the department manager.

Responsibilities

• Makes daily clinical assignments based on number of staff available and needs of the practice.
• Assess the clinical competence of teammates and provide information to the manager regarding clinical issues.
• Monitor inventory and ensure appropriate storage of clinical supplies, equipment and medications.
• Analyzes the assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses or issues.
• Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.
• Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.
• Implements the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
