About The Position

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Women's Services department. This is a full-time night position with a $10,000 sign-on bonus available. The role involves providing direct patient care, performing plan of care interventions, administering medications, documenting patient care, monitoring patient conditions, assisting patients with daily living activities, collaborating with other disciplines, and educating patients and families. The OB department fosters a culture of teamwork, trust, and support, aiming to deliver safe and compassionate care.

Requirements

• Active Tennessee license (single-state or compact)
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 7 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within 9 months of hire
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with the proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire
• STABLE Certification within 6 months or hire
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire
• Associate's degree required.

Nice To Haves

• One-year previous experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
