PRN Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend On-Call

Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
- Active RN license in the state of Oklahoma
- At least 1 year of nursing experience
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
- Ability to travel long distances and adapt to changing schedules
Nice To Haves
- Experience in home health, critical care, or emergency care is preferred
- Communicates clearly, stays calm under pressure, manages time well, and works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Conducting patient visits to assess nursing needs
- Completing initial evaluation visits and developing individualized plans of care
- Performing ongoing comprehensive assessments and revising plans as needed under physician direction
- Providing skilled nursing treatments and educating patients and caregivers on disease processes, self-care, and prevention
- Initiating preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures as ordered
- Preparing clinical and progress notes and coordinating services with other care team members
- Communicating directly with physicians and staff to ensure continuity of care
- Re-evaluating patient needs and assisting with discharge planning
- Supervising LPNs, vocational nurses, and home health aides when appropriate
- Practicing infection control and universal precautions
- Reporting suspected abuse according to state and federal guidelines
- Assisting with office tasks and new-nurse orientation when needed
