About The Position
VCU Health Hospice at Home by BAYADA is seeking a full-time Weekend On Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Richmond, VA. This role involves providing palliative care to clients in their homes within designated territories. The position requires availability for on-call duties and after-hours visits, specifically from Friday 5 pm to Monday 8:30 am. Requirements
- A current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in VA.
- A minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
- Ability to travel to cases as assigned.
- Solid computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior home care and/or hospice experience strongly preferred, but not required.
- Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Making home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
- Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, and procedures and comfort care.
- Monitoring clients' conditions; reporting changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager.
- Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders.
- Performing client assessments as necessary.
- On call after hours on weekends
