Registered Nurse (RN) Transplant Bariatric Surgery Acute Care Step Down Unit
About The Position
Lerner Tower 9 is a surgical floor that specializes in solid organ transplants (liver, kidney, and pancreas). The staff is specially trained to care for patients directly from the PACU, allowing them to bypass the ICU. The unit prides itself on its supportive staff, which is a key reason why nursing staff choose to start and remain with the unit. Teamwork is essential for excelling in their positions. Requirements
- 1 year of RN experience required
- Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
- Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation
- Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
- Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
- Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.
