Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery to join a surgical services team in Beckley, West Virginia. This opportunity is designed for an RN with established surgical nursing experience who can provide safe, efficient, and patient-centered care throughout the surgical process. The Surgery RN will work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and other members of the perioperative team to support high-quality patient outcomes. This position is well suited for a dependable nurse who is comfortable working in a procedural environment where communication, clinical judgment, and attention to detail are essential.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Surgery nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire
- Strong clinical judgment
- Ability to function effectively within a surgical care environment
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical and perioperative teams
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) certification
- Additional experience within Surgery or perioperative nursing
- Strong patient assessment skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience working in a hospital or acute-care surgical environment
Responsibilities
