About The Position

This is a Full-time Night RN Supervisor position, 7p-7a at Eddy Village Green (EVG) Cohoes, a 192-bed skilled nursing facility that provides care in a non-traditional way through 16 twelve-bed houses. EVG is a pioneering effort in long-term care, bringing control back to the elders by honoring their lifelong routines and preferences. This role involves a relationship shift between nurses and the C.N.A's who manage the individual houses. The facility is ranked in Newsweek's Top Nursing Homes for 2020, reaching #47 in New York State. The team has a strong commitment to safety, with a consistent supply of PPE and increased safety training. Requirements

A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New York
Associate’s degree in nursing or Degree of Nursing from an accredited school
Bachelor's Degree (or being willing/able to go back to school to obtain BSN)
1 year or more of recent experience as a RN in a long-term care facility

Responsibilities

On behalf of the Director of Nursing, provides for the continuity of nursing services in the development, implementation and evaluation of quality nursing care to residents and families
Perform assessments on elders that may have had a fall, a decline in condition or perhaps suicidal comments
Act as the senior liaison and administrative person on the campus and address staffing and family concerns
Asked to participate in auditing or QA activities
Demonstrates the organization’s commitment to sound ethical business practices as directed by the Corporate Compliance Office and approved by the Board of Trustees
