About The Position

Texas Health Azle is seeking a Registered Nurse RN Supervisor PRN to join their team. This role promotes shared decision making through collaborative/consultative relationships with nursing administration, department leadership, general nursing staff, and other department staff. Texas Health Azle is a 36-bed, community-based hospital serving the tri-county area since the 1950s. It provides exceptional care to the suburban areas of Azle, Lake Worth, Springtown, and surrounding areas. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission for disease-specific care of Chest Pain patients and by the Texas Department of Health & Human Services as a Level IV Support Stroke facility, a Level IV Trauma Center, and a Pathways to Excellence-designated hospital. They specialize in outpatient surgery, rehabilitative physical and hand therapy, and advanced imaging like mammography and CT scanning. It is a top choice in North Texas for emergency services, radiology services, rehabilitation, and much more.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
  • 5 Years Experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor)
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course 12 Months
  • Practices within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
  • Proactive problem solving skills, good interpersonal, verbal, written and computer skills.
  • Excellent prioritization skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 3 Years Emergency and/or critical care nursing
