This role involves one-to-one client care in a private duty setting, meaning nurses work with a single client for the entire shift, often with short commutes to nearby clients. Common diagnoses encountered include TBI, SCI, COPD, Stroke, Dementia/Alzheimer's, Premature Birth, Cancer, and surgery recovery. Skills gained in hospital, long-term care, and school settings are directly transferable to this role.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program (indicated by school transcript or diploma).
- A current nursing license in good standing in the state.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one client care in a home health care setting.
- Manage common diagnoses such as TBI, SCI, COPD, Stroke, Dementia/Alzheimer's, Premature Birth, Cancer, and surgery recovery.
- Utilize transferable skills from hospital, long-term care, and school settings.
