We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN), Senior to play an important role at AndHealth. In this role, you ll help guide the patients through their journey at our partner location in Indiana with the goal of creating incredible health outcomes and ensuring they receive the care needed to live a healthier life. This position offers a starting salary of $90,000, reflecting the senior-level expertise required for the role.

Requirements

  • Active RN license in good standing required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) obtained or willing to obtain.
  • Exceptional clinical judgment with the ability to swiftly triage overlapping priorities and independently resolve complex patient inquiries without immediately defaulting to the provider.
  • Demonstrated super-user level proficiency in navigating and documenting within Electronic Medical and Health Record (EMR, EHR) systems.
  • A keen sense of ownership and ability to take initiative to make each patient experience better than the last.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to successfully handle multiple things at once.
  • You bring a servant-leadership approach to your interaction with everyone and have a natural inclination towards teaching and sharing knowledge.
  • You are comfortable with technology and learning new systems.
  • You thrive when collaborating with others from multiple organizations.
  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months.
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity.
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving.
  • Hep B3 Series.
  • (Flu) Influenza required.
  • COVID Vaccine required.
  • Additional health requirements may also be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor degree is preferred.
  • Hands-on nursing experience working in an ambulatory, acute / inpatient or outpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one or multiple sites, actively training, mentoring, and guiding other RNs.
  • Champion a patient-first culture by leading with empathy, consistently exceeding care expectations, and proactively finding creative solutions to accommodate patient needs.
  • Anticipate the needs of providers and the broader care team by thoroughly preparing for daily schedules and ensuring all operational and clinical tasks are comprehensively resolved by the end of each shift.
  • Act as the first point of contact for RNs and Medical Assistants when they encounter complex clinical questions, difficult triage scenarios, or unfamiliar protocols.
  • Serve as the expert on the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and clinical equipment. Assist peers with troubleshooting charting issues and ensure adherence to specific protocols and CLIA standards.
  • Assist operations leadership by acting as an extra set of eyes on clinical quality and proactively identify areas where the team might need additional training or education.
  • Properly prepare exam rooms for patient care by ensuring the room is properly stocked and cleaned.
  • Receive, and route test results for provider review, and collect data regarding patient medications.
  • Room patients, check vital signs, and assess patient needs to communicate with the provider.
  • Assist provider with patient procedures as directed by the provider.
  • Communicate effectively both written and orally with patients, patients families, coworkers, and other outside entities.
  • Complete routine forms for patients as appropriate.
  • Perform lab tests as directed by provider, prepare specimens, operate lab equipment, and maintain laboratory documentation in accordance with CLIA standards and practice specific protocols.
  • Answer, address, and triage phone calls in a timely manner.
  • Schedule offsite diagnostic tests and communicate effectively with patients.
  • Facilitate referral processes for patients as needed.
  • Take manual inventory of medications and clinic supplies.
  • Perform front office duties as needed.
  • Adhere to all health center policies and procedures.
  • Other responsibilities as needed based on business needs. Examples include but are not limited to: Referral queue management, Care navigation for providers who are virtual with an in-person patient, Mobile phlebotomy for patients in the vicinity of the CHC partner, Integration with PCP teams to triage live referrals and promote a collaborative approach, Backup app coverage for peer Registered Nurses.
