The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care through assessments, nursing interventions, documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. This position coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient advocate and works as part of a team with ancillary and non-nursing departments. The role also involves maintaining facility equipment, supplies and work areas, assisting in the orientation of new employees, and coordinating and supervising activities of employees and department operations. Participation in performance/process improvement activities is also a key aspect of this role.
