About The Position

This position coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient advocate and works as part of a team with ancillary and non-nursing departments. Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
BCLS required
Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs.
Critical thinking
Work well under pressure while keeping calm and maintaining customer focus

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
ACLS preferred
CRRN preferred

Responsibilities

Accurately perform patient assessments and identify individual care needs.
Initiate and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
Deliver care appropriate to the condition and age of each patient.
Document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for assigned patients.
Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments.
Maintain facility equipment, supplies and work areas.
Assist in the orientation of new employees.
Coordinate and supervise activities of employees and department operations.
Participate in performance/process improvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
