About The Position

This is a part-time Registered Nurse position in the Radiology department at Advocate Christ Medical Center's Outpatient Pavilion. The role involves working in CT, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine, as well as the main CT department with cardiac CT exam patients. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to provide holistic patient care, assess patient needs, plan and implement interventions, and evaluate care effectiveness. This includes patient and family education, anticipating changes in patient condition, collaborating with healthcare team members, and implementing strategies to reduce patient risk and enhance safety. The position also involves participating in quality improvement initiatives, shared governance, and professional development.

Requirements

Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.
Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

Proficient computer skills, use of electronic mail and electronic medical records systems.

Position requires use of foot pedals on carts or machines.
May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
