About The Position

The Quality Analyst RN will also assist the director in managing staff relations, including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Responsibilities include overseeing scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements. The role involves making presentations at various meetings, potentially monitoring departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, contracts, and vendor relations. Additionally, the position determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order or stock supplies. The Quality Analyst RN assesses the quality of patient care, coordinates patient care services, and may provide direct patient care when necessary. The role also focuses on creating and fostering an environment that encourages professional growth and integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

Requirements

  • Current Tennessee or compact state RN license.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of hire.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Decisive judgment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years diverse clinical practice in an acute care environment required.
  • Previous performance improvement and/or large scale project management experience required.
  • Demonstrated progressive leadership skills required.
  • Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with the proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) required.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or Quality strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.

  • Assists the director by making presentations at various meetings including Quality and Safety Committee, New Employee Orientation, and others.
  • May assist the director in monitoring departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
  • Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
  • Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
  • May provide patient care when necessary.
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
