Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit - PCU Job Type: Full-Time | Nights Schedule: 12 hour shifts | 6:45pm-7am Up to $10,000 Sign-on Bonus with 2 or more years of experience. New hires and those who have been away from the organization for 2 years or more. As part of our Critical Care Services, the PCU is an 12-bed step-down unit supported by experienced clinicians, advanced technology, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
  • Must have an active AZ or Compact RN License.
  • Must obtain ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • RN performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Detects change in patient status, reports to appropriate health care team member and utilizes resources as dictated by the acuity.
  • Assigns priorities to the patient’s problems with highest priority given to problems that are most urgent and critical.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
