This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position isPosition is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients. The Progressive Care RN will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide care to patients within a three inpatient cardiac monitored unit, totaling 84 PCU beds. This is a busy and fast-paced PCU unit that has a diverse demographic of higher acuity patients. The clinical staff pride themselves on their teamwork, clinical expertise, and the culture is patient centered with a focus on delivering quality care and customer service. The nurses are specialty trained to care for this patient population with an emphasis on growth and mentoring.
