About The Position

UH Parma 3 Medical is an 18 bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:4-6. This is a Med Surg and Tele Observation unit that handles a broad range of diagnoses including chest pain, nausea/vomiting, confusion, falls, stroke-like symptoms, UTI, weakness, and dizziness. The unit has a diverse staff with varied backgrounds and experiences, and sees many different diagnoses with fast patient turnover.

Requirements

• Diploma in Nursing or Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Knowledge of nursing process and practice.
• Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
• Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
