About The Position

Registered Nurse, RN (PRN) – GI Lab Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway TX 75033 Work Hours: PRN; 1–2 shifts per week (6–8 hours), Monday–Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Position includes on-call requirements and candidates must reside within the required response radius for call coverage. Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Diploma Nursing program required
1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting required
RN – Registered Nurse required upon hire
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
GI Lab experience preferred
1+ year of procedural/OR experience preferred
Candidates with 5+ years of RN experience will be considered, even without GI or procedural experience

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
