About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in a PRN Float Pool working NIGHTS. The Float Pool offers different tiers with varying pay rates and differentials based on the specialties covered: Tier 1 (Med Surg Only), Tier 2 (Med Surg & Med Tele Only), and Tier 3 (Med Surg, Med Tele & Post Acute/Step Down/PCU). The role offers flexible hours, self-scheduling, and a great team environment within a dynamic, academic, Magnet-recognized health system. The opportunity involves practicing across a broad spectrum of specialties and exposure to high-acuity patient care.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience required.
• Current Louisiana RN license (or eligibility for licensure).
• Current BLS.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in multiple specialty areas strongly preferred (e.g., trauma, neuro, cardiac, surgical, or telemetry).
• Specialty certification(s) in areas such as CCRN, TCRN, or Stroke Nursing (NIHSS) encouraged.
• Previous Float Pool or travel nursing experience.
• Demonstrated success in working across multiple clinical settings.
