About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the PreOp PostOp unit, working on a PRN (as needed) basis with day shifts. The role involves providing care for patients undergoing exclusive heart and vascular surgeries. The unit offers growth opportunities, a tenured and family-oriented team, and specializes in various cardiac procedures. The hospital, Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital, is accredited for Chest Pain and has received awards for Heart Failure care. They specialize in CABG and Valve surgeries, thoracotomies, general cardiac care, and heart catheterizations. Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma required OR Associate's Degree Nursing required OR Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
  • CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign equivalency required
  • 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse required
  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Pre/Post Op Cath Lab experience preferred
