About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Pre/Post Anesthesia provides safe, high‑quality nursing care to patients before and after anesthesia. This role uses the nursing process to deliver individualized, patient‑ and family‑centered care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote optimal outcomes, safety, and an excellent patient experience. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
One year of procedural care and or critical care
ACLS and PALS certified

Nice To Haves

1 year of Pre/Post‑Anesthesia experience strongly preferred
Pediatric experience preferred
Pediatric experience a plus

Responsibilities

Provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Provides safe, high‑quality nursing care to patients before and after anesthesia.
Uses the nursing process to deliver individualized, patient‑ and family‑centered care.
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to promote optimal outcomes, safety, and an excellent patient experience.
Cross trained in the Pre-admit area to do pre-op phone calls.
