Registered Nurse (RN) Postpartum- Nights
About The Position
Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Postpartum unit. This is a full-time position with a night shift schedule of 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, working 3x12 hour shifts per week. Relocation assistance is available. Requirements
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Required 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license.

- Two years of recent Registered Nurse (RN) experience on an inpatient Postpartum Unit.

- Fosters cooperation and respect among clinical disciplines.
- Guides staff in assessing patient learning needs and outcomes.
- Serves as a clinical resource, preceptor, and mentor, and supervises patient care activities.
- Utilizes care delivery standards, integrating communication, technology, and collaboration.
- Pursues ongoing professional development and maintains Continuing Education Records.
- Contributes to performance improvement initiatives and evaluates clinical outcomes.
