Registered Nurse (RN) - Perinatal - Training Opportunity
About The Position
This is a training opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Perinatal Services at Richmond Hospital with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH). The role involves providing optimal perinatal care (Antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum) to women, babies, and their families within a client and family-centred care model. This includes assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of care, adhering to the standards of professional practice and the organization's vision and values. VCH is implementing minimum Nurse to Patient Ratios (mNPRs) to enhance nursing practice and quality of care. Candidates accepting this training opportunity agree to remain with VCH as a regular status nurse in the applicable area for at least 18 months post-training, or VCH will seek to recover the program costs.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) designation.
- Approximately two years recent acute medical/surgical experience.
- Successful completion of the post-basic training education prior to working in the Department.
- Agreement to remain with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a regular status nurse in the area of nursing applicable to the education program for at least 18 months subsequent to completing training.
