About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides care and directs the staff to follow the resident plan of care as determined by the Unit Manager. We are committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients here at Rockingham County. We want our residents to feel safe, comfortable, and supported in all aspects of their lives to include not only physical, but also emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, and intellectual well-being.

Requirements

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing
• Valid New Hampshire RN License
• Qualities of leadership
• Genuine interest in geriatric nursing
• Ability to work harmoniously with others
• Ability to delegate authority wisely
• Mandatory post offer physical and drug testing for new hire
• Criminal records check required

Responsibilities

• Administering medications/treatments
• Keeping detailed documentation in accordance with Rockingham County policies and State/Federal requirements
• Transcribing and carrying out medical orders
• Assessing and identifying any change in resident status
• Keeping open communication with the Unit Manager/Nursing Supervisors regarding significant issues; i.e. change in resident’s condition, environment, personnel, or safety concerns
