About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and reliable Registered Nurse (RN) with hands‑on experience in pediatric care to join our practice on a part‑time basis. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a warm, child‑centered approach to patient care. This role supports physicians, families, and young patients while ensuring a safe, efficient, and supportive clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • 2+ years of pediatric nursing experience in a clinic, hospital, or private practice setting.
  • Strong understanding of pediatric growth, development, and common childhood conditions.
  • Experience administering pediatric immunizations and managing vaccine schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills with both children and parents.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in fast‑paced or emotionally sensitive situations.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and clinical documentation.
  • CPR/BLS certification (PALS preferred).
  • Availability for part‑time hours with potential flexibility based on practice needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a pediatric primary care or specialty practice.
  • Bilingual abilities (a plus, depending on patient population).
  • Familiarity with pediatric triage protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality nursing care to pediatric patients in accordance with clinical guidelines and practice standards.
  • Perform pediatric assessments, including vital signs, growth measurements, developmental observations, and symptom evaluation.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as ordered by the provider.
  • Assist with pediatric procedures, testing, and in‑office diagnostics.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on treatment plans, medications, follow‑up care, and preventive health practices.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system.
  • Support triage activities, including answering parent inquiries and assessing urgency of care needs.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and child‑friendly clinical environment.
  • Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Uphold all HIPAA, infection control, and pediatric safety protocols.
