Registered Nurse (RN) Part Time-Days – Surgery Ambulatory Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Part Time- 24 Hours/week; Variable days Monday – Saturday. 530 – 14, open to 8/ 12/ hour shifts Surgery Ambulatory highlights: · Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team. · The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs. · The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations. Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program
  • 1 Year of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting required
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • 1 Year of Periop experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
