About The Position

This is a part-time Registered Nurse position in Outpatient Surgery. The role involves day shifts with variable start times, and does not require weekend or holiday work. The nurse will be responsible for comprehensive patient data collection and documentation, identifying outcomes, formulating nursing diagnoses, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating patient progress.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan
• Current BLS
• Previous nursing clinical experience required

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• Current ACLS and PALS or completion of this certification within 1 year of hire into the position.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and the situation
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized for the patient and the situation
• Formulates, communicates, and documents nursing diagnosis based on assessment of health data collected.
• Assumes responsibility to develop, communicate, and document a plan of care that prescribes nursing actions to achieve expected patient outcomes.
• Assumes responsibility to implement, communicate, & document the interventions identified in the plan of care.
• Evaluate and document patient’s progress
