This 10-bed department provides clinical care specific to the age of the patient population served in the Medical / Surgical Orthopedics unit. The organization promotes a positive work environment through teamwork, schedule flexibility, and a strong focus on professional support and work‑life balance. 1:5 Nurse Ratio 12 Hour Shifts 10 Beds

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
  • 1 year of Acute Care RN experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the Medical Surgical Orthopedics unit.
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
  • Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
