The 11T unit at St. Luke's Medical Center is an Ortho/Joint/Surgical unit featuring 24 private patient rooms located on the 11th floor of the Garden Tower. Nursing staff are integral members of a collaborative interdisciplinary team, supported by unit-based case management, social work, pharmacists, physical therapists, and a network of clinicians from various medical specialties. The position promotes professional growth and development through encouraging certification in Ortho, Med-Surg, Pain, Palliative Care, and Geriatrics, as well as offering Shared Governance opportunities like ACC, EXCEL, and NSI champion groups, and support for professional development at local and national levels. The role involves being part of a highly skilled, resilient, and versatile team committed to delivering quality and compassionate healthcare to diverse patient populations, adapting quickly to new working relationships through consistent collaboration, and coordinating comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to ensure safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures, all while leading with patient-centered care and a team approach.
