About The Position
This position provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to assist them in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status. The unit is a 22-bed facility caring for Orthopedic, Trauma, and General Surgery patients, with private rooms and walk-in bathrooms. Staffing is based on patient volume, expected surgical volume, and patient acuity, with a focus on delivering high-quality and safe care.
Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing or Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)
- Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
- Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- Master in Nursing (Preferred)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.

- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
