About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse RN OR Service Line Specialist working full-time, day shift. The position is located at Texas Health Southwest. The nurse will collaborate with other team members to ensure patient safety during operations, serve as a clinical liaison, and participate in training and mentoring staff. Responsibilities also include maintaining equipment and supply levels, ensuring accurate charges for surgeon preference cards, and coordinating budget needs with the clinical manager.

Requirements

• 1 Year perioperative services and circulating and/or scrubbing experience Req
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req
• A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• OR Circulating - Collaborates with other team members (including anesthesiologist, surgeon, surgical technologist, etc) to ensure the safety of patients during the operation.
• Serves as clinical liaison to staff, surgeons and vendors. Promotes engagement through open lines of communication. Organizes face-to-face meetings as needed. Communicates products and services. Completes special projects and events as needed.
• Actively participates in training, orientation and mentoring of staff members while facilitating education on service line clinical, administrative, legal and financial requirements.
• Maintains par levels of special equipment and supply orders items specific to service line.
• Ensures that accurate and timely charges incorporated into service line surgeon preference cards.
• Works with clinical manager to coordinate capital and non-capital budget needs for service line.
• Attends and participates in clinical facilitator meetings.
