About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN)- OR - Scrub/Circulate for a 13-week travel assignment in Windsor, VT. The Clinical Nurse is a key member of the surgical team who functions in a circulating and scrubbing capacity. Services lines we provide include: General surgery, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, pain and endoscopy procedures. Our nurses provide specialized care for all these services. The Surgical Services department has 2 operating rooms and a procedure room. We provide mostly outpatient procedures with limited inpatient. We provide care to patients ages 16 and older.

Requirements

Must have a minimum 2-5 years of experience
Must have Scrubbing and Circulating experience - BOTH specialty skill checklists MUST be in profile to move forward with presenting to client
Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle.
Must have experience working in a smaller OR facility
Must have Phase I/PACU experience
CERNER EMR EXPERIENCE required
MULTIPLE SURGICAL EXPERIENCE is required
Must have ACLS (AHA) certification
Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
Drug screen and background check (facility required)
Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Responsibilities

Working with patients prior to surgery to complete paperwork, and help answer questions or calm fears about surgery
Monitoring a patient’s condition during and after surgery
Selecting and passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon during operation (sometimes referred to as a scrub nurse)
Managing the overall nursing care in the operating room to help maintain a safe and comfortable environment (sometimes referred to as a circulating nurse)
Educating patients on best practices for recovery, including pain management and keeping wounds clean
Cleaning surgical equipment and operating rooms to maintain a sterile environment
