About The Position

This is a variable shift, PRN, Surgery (OR) Charge Circulator Registered Nurse (RN) position at Hillcrest Medical Center, a 656-bed hospital in Tulsa, OK. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care activities in accordance with HHS standards to ensure efficient, effective, and quality patient care. The nurse must demonstrate knowledge and skills for age-appropriate care, understanding growth and development principles, and assessing/interpreting patient data based on age-specific needs. This includes planning and modifying patient care plans according to hospital policies and procedures, and adhering to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

Requirements

  • A graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
  • ACLS certification
  • Must possess a current Oklahoma License as a Registered Nurse

Nice To Haves

  • CNOR
  • At least one year of experience as an RN in the area of application

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
  • Able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
  • Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
