About The Position
Atrium Health Mercy features a dynamic and collaborative Operating Room environment with 16 operating rooms and 3 procedure rooms . Our team completes approximately 55–65 cases per day , offering exposure to a wide range of specialties including total joints, orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, foot & ankle, hand surgery, endovascular procedures, spine (neuro and ortho), urology, general surgery, and robotics . As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Atrium Health Mercy, a 196-bed facility of Carolinas Medical Center, is one of two Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) locations and is 1.3 miles from CMC. Atrium Health Mercy is a full-service community hospital, specializing in the care of seniors and in complex foot and ankle surgery, hip and knee surgery, bariatric surgery, and women’s pelvic health. Atrium Health Mercy is Magnet certified in Nursing Excellence and is also a Planetree certified, patient-centered hospital. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- At least one year of previous Operating Room experience strongly preferred for this position.
