About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Atrium Health Mercy Operating Room Charlotte, NC, United States Where You Will Work: Atrium Health Mercy features a dynamic and collaborative Operating Room environment with 16 operating rooms and 3 procedure rooms. Our team completes approximately 55–65 cases per day, offering exposure to a wide range of specialties including total joints, orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, foot & ankle, hand surgery, endovascular procedures, spine (neuro and ortho), urology, general surgery, and robotics. In addition to our supportive culture, we offer set schedule options and minimal call requirements, including limited evenings and weekends, to support work–life balance. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of previous Operating Room experience strongly preferred for this position.

Responsibilities

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
