About The Position

Beverly Hospital, part of the Lahey Health System, is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse Staff Team Leader for the evening shift, working 24 hours per week. This community hospital has 10 operating rooms at its main campus and 4 at the Lahey Outpatient Surgery Center. The unit provides a wide range of specialties including orthopedics, GYN, general, vascular, thoracic, spine, pediatrics, cysto, and ENT. The RN Staff Team Leader is responsible for providing safe patient care for patients undergoing operative and other invasive procedures. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care during the perioperative phase. The role also involves directing and supervising ancillary staff to ensure appropriate, safe, and efficient care delivery. Additionally, as a clinical expert resource, the Team Leader will be responsible for the orientation and education of staff members regarding all phases of the specialty area, including patient procedures and equipment use/maintenance. They will coordinate and participate in total intraoperative care for patients within their surgical specialty and manage equipment, instrumentation, and supply needs through collaboration with various healthcare team members.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current MA RN license.
BLS required.
At least two-three years of work as an operating room nurse required.
Demonstrated clinical competency in the appropriate nursing practice.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to problem solve.
Ability to get along well with others.
Strong knowledge base for specialty service.
Strong passion for nursing practice and drive to delivering the highest quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide safe patient care for patients undergoing operative and other invasive procedures.
