About The Position

This position provides perioperative nursing care for patients, adhering to established standards and practices in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act. The role involves on-call requirements.

Requirements

BSN from an accredited school or college of nursing (or grandfathered if hired/transferred before July 1, 2022 with a nursing degree).
At least 2 years in operating room nursing or 4 years in operating room surgical technology or sterile processing.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State and is not a permanent resident of SC.
Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to provide patient care.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
Skill in preparing and maintaining effective working relationships.
Ability to communicate clearly.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Corrected hearing and vision to normal range.

Nice To Haves

Certification in operating room nursing preferred (OR)
Certification in post-anesthesia nursing preferred (PACU)
