About The Position

The Inpatient Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients. This role utilizes strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implements clinical nursing interventions, and possesses a highly diverse medical skillset. The RN develops and performs patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes, while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
Recent RN experience in acute care and wound care (required)

Nice To Haves

Two (2) year of wound care experience as a Registered Nurse
EPIC Electronic Health Record training
Wound Care Certification (WOCN Wound or WWC Wound Care Certification) - (required within 3 years of hire)

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
Collect vital signs, administer IV medications, understand charting, and assess patient condition
Assesses, stages, photographs and measures wounds accurately and in accordance with policy
Evaluates, updates and revises the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
