Registered Nurse (RN), Operating Room (OR)
About The Position
Wilson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Operating Room (OR). This role is in-person and offers a $20,000 commitment-incentive bonus. The OR is a 7-bed unit specializing in General Surgery, Urology, GYN, Ortho, ENT, and Cataract services, with a 1:1 patient ratio. RNs typically work 8-hour shifts, which can vary based on cases. Night, weekend, and holiday call is required. On-call nurses must reside within a 30-minute radius or stay onsite, with an on-call room available. Scrubs are provided. This role offers an opportunity to work collaboratively in a supportive environment focused on providing quality care and support.
Requirements
- Current state RN license
- Degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
- ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire
Nice To Haves
- TNCC, NRP, ENPC, CEN preferred
- One year of experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
- Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
- Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
- Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Post-Procedure and Recovery Care
