Deliver specialized perioperative nursing care within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment supporting U.S. government personnel in Iraq. Working alongside surgeons, anesthesiology providers, surgical technologists, and critical care teams, this Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) role combines hands-on surgical nursing support with patient monitoring, sterile field management, and collaborative care coordination across acute and surgical settings. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the United States or District of Columbia.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
3+ years of nursing experience, including recent Operating Room RN experience within the past year.
Ability to work effectively within acute care, perioperative, and multidisciplinary surgical environments.
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid passport
Ability to obtain and maintain MRPT security clearance and meet pre-deployment physical requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in international, military, government, or resource-limited healthcare environments.
Prior experience supporting high-acuity surgical or critical care patient populations.

Responsibilities

Provide perioperative nursing care across pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative patient care environments.
Support surgical procedures through patient preparation, sterile field maintenance, instrument coordination, and intraoperative patient monitoring.
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary clinical teams to support safe and efficient surgical workflows.
Assist with emergency airway management, acute surgical interventions, and bedside procedural support when needed.
Evaluate patient status throughout the surgical continuum while supporting pain management, recovery, and continuity of care.
Maintain compliance with established clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and ongoing training requirements.
