Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology - Night Shift - Sign-on Bonus
About The Position
ChristianaCare Hospital in Newark, Delaware, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its 6E Oncology Unit. The nurse will implement a relationship-based care model focused on building strong connections with patients, families, and colleagues, guided by the organization’s values of love and excellence. Unit 6E is a 38-bed inpatient hematology and oncology unit providing scheduled and emergency care and procedures 24/7. It cares for adult and geriatric patients requiring inpatient treatment for their diagnoses or management of treatment-related symptoms. Services include care for cancer diagnoses, chemotherapy administration, and medical management of conditions such as febrile neutropenia, uncontrolled pain, and nausea or vomiting. Patients may be stable or seriously ill and may be admitted or transferred from home, the emergency department, physicians’ offices, or other hospital units. The role is listed as full-time and offers night-shift scheduling, described as a 12-hour shift from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or a combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts depending on departmental needs. Weekend and holiday requirements are determined by departmental guidelines.
Requirements
- Delaware RN license or a Compact RN license.
- BSN, or commitment to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire.
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a hospital Medical-Surgical unit.
- BLS certification.

Responsibilities
