About The Position
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) with chemotherapy certification to join a high-performing outpatient oncology team in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for a compassionate and detail-oriented nurse who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Requirements
- Active California RN License (must be valid at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Oncology nursing experience (outpatient experience preferred)
- Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC required)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential
- Previous travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are welcome to apply)
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive treatments in accordance with established protocols
- Monitor patients for treatment reactions and manage side effects effectively
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR system
- Adhere to oncology nursing standards, safety guidelines, and infection control protocols
- Assess patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status
