About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and providing care to patients within the scope of practice and will strive to provide these services in a compassionate and knowledgeable fashion. The RN’s role responsibilities include the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient’s status, plan of care, goal achievement, and input into process improvement. This position will assist with offsite home visits for our patients interested in our concierge health program as needed. Oncology/chemotherapy experience required. Requirements

Certified RN
Chemotherapy infusion experience required
License and current registration to practice in the state of California
IV Certification is required
Must be Chemo certified
ONS

Nice To Haves

Oncology Experience Preferred
ADN or BSN from an accredited College of Nursing program is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in nursing is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

IV insertions, Port and PICC access, and phlebotomy.
Patient assessments, multidisciplinary care planning, and detailed patient education with an emphasis on pre and post-treatment follow-up, side effects, precautions, and self-care tips.
Reinforces education during patient visits.
Verifies safety of ordered medication doses and monitors patients for reactions to side effects of therapy and intervene as necessary.
Acts as a patient advocate and monitors patient flow by reviewing lab results, reporting abnormal lab results, and reporting patient symptoms and concerns to the attending physician in a timely manner.
Documents medication administration and captures charges for each patient visit.
Complete IV infusions and monitor patients.
Performs review of procedures and properly captures charges for each patient visit.
Infusion administration, hydration, and other infusions as prescribed.
Monitors lab values and notifies physicians in a timely fashion of abnormal values and patient condition changes.
