About The Position

Valley View is hiring Nurse Residents for its February 2027 cohort in Acute Care/Med Surg, Family Birth Place, Surgery/OR, Emergency Department, and Ambulatory Care/Clinics. Emergency Department candidates must have prior emergency room or similar experience, such as EMT or ED technician experience. Valley View’s Nurse Residency Program has supported newly graduated RNs transitioning to practice since 2009 and received Accreditation with Distinction from the American Nurses Credentialing Center in April 2018. The program admits two cohorts annually and provides an extended orientation with a designated preceptor, monthly classes focused on the needs of transitioning nurses, and a year of support from RN Education Facilitators, the Program Director, and the Nurse Residency Coordinator. Following completion of orientation on the assigned unit, the Nurse Resident agrees to work as a full-time benefitted RN with Valley View for two years. Valley View supports nurses practicing at the top of their licensure. Nurse Residents who are currently ADN-prepared will work with the Director of Staff Development to advance their degree to a BSN within an agreed-upon timeframe. Tuition assistance and scholarship options may help with costs. Hourly pay is $36.76 for an ADN Nurse Resident, $37.50 for a BSN Nurse Resident, $32.68 for a Clinic Nurse Resident with an ADN, and $33.99 for a Clinic Nurse Resident with a BSN. Shift differentials are available for qualifying evening, night, and weekend hours. Annual bonuses are based on individual and organizational performance.
