About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) II in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Texas Health Rockwall. The role is part-time, requiring 24 hours per week, with two 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am, including weekends and holidays. New hires must attend training at the corporate office in Arlington for the first 1-5 days. The NICU department is described as a supportive Level One team environment with a family atmosphere, a strong shared governance structure, and new, advanced equipment and technology.

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
• NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days of hire
• NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days of hire
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
• A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of Neonatal ICU experience strongly preferred
