About The Position

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – New Graduate for a Full-Time Night position. This role is crucial in providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals with a wide range of complex medical conditions, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited program for registered nursing.
Valid State RN License is required.
BLS required at hire.
Must have flexibility of scheduling to complete the requirements of the program.
Post offer employment testing (POETs) are completed as part of the onboarding process and are to be completed before an employee's first day of work.

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the physician and preceptor, ensure implementation of the assessment plan, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care for the patient population.
Initiate an ongoing systematic assessment of the physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs of the patients/families.
Interpret assessment data and information to develop a nursing care plan which contains problem identification, nursing diagnosis, nursing orders, approaches, interventions, short/long term goals, and discharge planning.
Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation goals.
Assure that documents in the medical record are complete, factual, accurate, and timely.
