About The Position

Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital is a 115-bed acute care hospital specializing in physical rehabilitation and is an affiliate of St. Peter's Health Partners. This is a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) position on the Neurology unit, offering a 12-hour night shift (7p-7a) with a commitment to work 2 days per week, including weekends, utilizing a self-scheduling model. The Neurology unit treats patients with conditions such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, and concussions. Requirements

New York State RN License.
Associates Degree in Nursing.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to maintain the highest level of customer service while working in a fast paced environment.
Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with disability and/or chronic illness to attain and maintain maximum function.
Assist patients in adapting to an altered lifestyle, while providing a therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
Design and implement treatment strategies that are based on scientific nursing theory related to self-care and that promote physical, psychosocial and spiritual health.
Will be trained to perform complex patient assessments and implement intensive interventions.
Will be trained specifically on IVs, Blood Transfusions, Wound Vacs, Peritoneal Dialysis, Prosthetic Training.
